Do you like making Halloween crafts? Here you can learn how to make a spider web and a spider to hang in your window.
What you will need:
- kebab sticks
- white wool
- cardboard egg carton
- black gouache paint
- a wooden bead
- googly eyes
- glue
- scissors
- paintbrush
- pin
Let’s do it!
- Start by placing three kebab sticks, as shown in the image below, and with the wool, join them in the center.
- Take the wool, tie a knot on one of the sticks near the central area, and start building the web. Watch the video to see how to do it. In the end, tie a knot and leave a piece of yarn so you can hang it up later.
- Now let’s make the spider. Take the egg carton and cut only a part, as shown in the image below. Make the cut so that you have 8 beaked parts (it’s the spider’s legs!).
- Paint the entire spider black on the inside too. Let it dry.
- Take the googly eyes and glue them to the spider’s body.
- With a pin, make a hole in the top of the spider’s body.
- Take a yarn and pass it through the hole. In the end of the thread that is inside the spider, pass a bead and tie a knot.
- You will tie the other end of the thread to the web, in a place of your choice, preferably on one of the sticks. Then you can hang your spider’s web.
Tip: You can replace the kebab sticks with small tree branches or ice cream sticks.
